Print Theme Update
An update on my Tumblr Print Theme and its progress in the Theme Garden, problems launching and along the way, and lessons learned…

The idea for the theme came from me getting used to Adobe Fireworks CS5 and wanting a quick demo to try the slice/exporting tools out. I just came up with the idea of using the CMYK-type blocks to make it look like a printed page and the rest went from there....

…instead, carbon dioxide from power generation is normally simply vented into the atmosphere, where it contributes to global warming. When the gas is needed for an industrial process, it is manufactured from scratch.
Taken with a pinch of salt, but, why does this not surprise me? This is exactly the sort of approach that potentially got us into this position in the first place.

The title is is misleading to me as it sounds like its going to be a philisophical round-up of, “where we are at”, with responsive design. Its not.
It is about the most sane, understandable and easily implementable method for serving specific images for their relevant platforms I have seen.

Yes.
Why can’t people in Sweden or New Zealand (or anywhere outside the US) use Netflix or Amazon Cloud Player if they want? Why can’t Americans watch the latest episode of Doctor Who on the BBC iPlayer?
Technically all these things could be overcome easily, but a licensing system that clings on to an old-fashioned view of the world stops them.
